COURSE DESCRIPTION

Diploma of Business is designed for anyone who is seeking to further develop skills across a wide variety of business functions. Upon completion of this course, graduates will be equipped with the skills to work in all areas of the business sector. Career prospects include entrepreneur, executive officer or project manager.  

COURSE STRUCTURE

This course consists of 8 Units

  • BSBHRM501 Manage human resources services

  • BSBHRM513 Manage workforce planning

  • BSBMGT502 Manage people performance

  • BSBMKG501 Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities

  • BSBMKG502 Establish and adjust the marketing mix

  • BSBMKG507 Interpret market trends and developments

  • BSBRSK501 Manage risk

  • BSBCUS501 Manage quality customer service

DURATION

This course can be completed within 48 weeks however, it can be completed in less time depending on your experience and previously achieved qualifications.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification however NIVT requires all students:

  • Be at least 18 years old;

  • Successfully complete the LLN assessment;

  • Successfully complete the pre-enrolment interview;

  • Be currently employed in a medium size business; and

  • Have a laptop with wifi capabilities and suitable to download and upload documents.

CREDIT TRANSFER, ASSESSMENT ONLY, RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) 

Competency held by students can be formally assessed against the units of competency in this training package. Relevant competency will be recognised regardless of how, when, or where it is achieved.

For the Assessment Only or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathways, you must provide current and quality evidence of your competency. This process can be directed by you (such as through compiling a portfolio) or by an assessor (through workplace performance observation or oral/written assessment). The evidence will be verified against the corresponding unit of competency in this package by the assessor. If the outcome of this process indicates that you have satisfied the competency, structured training will not be required. 

If gaps in your knowledge and competencies are found, you can study the individual units or attempt the assessment only.
