Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

  • Learn the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

  • This course is suitable for people who need to conduct annual refresher training, maintain workplace skills or those who simply want to learn how to save a life.

  • The course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to manage a life-threatening emergency and deliver rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation to a person with no signs of life.

  • You will also learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Personal Protective Equipment including disposable face shields.

  • Entry Requirements
    There are no formal academic requirements for this qualification however, NIVT requires that all learners:

    • Be at least 18 years old

    • Have the physical capacity to perform sustained CPR for at least two minutes

    • Successfully complete the pre-enrolment interview; and

    • Successfully complete the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment

  • Course Fee: $60

  • Duration: 4 hours  


Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the
